I bought a HP lap top and the lap top dealer gave me a hint not to work the lap top by always keeping the power on. This will reduce the battery life and one has to work in the battery for lap top to increase the battery life of the lap top. Normally it will take about an hour in power off mode to recharge laptop battery and when the lap top is working it will take about 2 hours to recharge laptop battery.

The dealer also said that the lap top must be operated frequently in the battery mode and will serve you better when the power is off and the battery life will be very low for lap tops which are plugged in most of the times. Normally the battery of the lap top will stay for about 2 hours when small applications are worked and when audio and video are listened, then the battery drains fast and will last for an hour or so.

To keep the battery life of the lap top it is necessary to recharge laptop battery and then start working in the batter mode. Once I was traveling in the train and was using the lap top to check my email on the way using the wire less modem and my battery reached 10 percent and had to recharge laptop battery in one of the plug points that was provided to recharge lap tops and mobile phones.

I went to recharge but there was a lot of crowd to recharge the mobile phones and luckily I had the four pin plug point and put the lap top on the charge and also the mobile phones of others were also charging using the four way plug. I allowed the lap top to charge for an hour and the battery came to 100 percent when I switched on the lap top again. Once I recharge laptop battery, I can work for 2 hours in my lap top and by then I will reach my destination and work in the lap top in the room that we get and recharge laptop battery and at the same time will be working in the lap top. The lap top was of great use while touring and we used to store all the photos and videos taken during the day in the lap top and empty the space in the memory card.
